I work across diverse communication design projects—from collaborative commissions and advisory roles to traditional graphic design such as editorial work. I also pursue research-driven conceptual projects that translate experimental inquiry into artistic forms, bridging science, design, and art.

Investigated motion-illusion techniques inspired by McDermott’s form-and-motion tutorials and Anstis’s chopstick illusion, translating perceptual principles into experimental visual forms.


The Visual Clavier (Kim, 2009, ArtPrize, Grand Rapids, MI)

Bach’s Harpsichord Concerto in F Minor was interpreted visually, with its pitch, rhythm, and tonal qualities articulated through motion.

Explored the motion principles underlying John Cage’s Sonata V, leveraging good continuation to shape dynamic visual–perceptual gestalts.
